Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive wellness treatment that helps the body to heal - physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. The word Reiki comes from the Japanese word (Rei), "Universal Life," and (Ki), "Energy." Reiki is not affiliated with any particular religion or religious practice. It is not a message, nor is it based on belief or suggestion.
Reiki is the life energy that flows through all living things. Practitioners understand that everyone can connect with their healing energy and use Reiki to strengthen their energy to help others.
During a Reiki treatment, the body's energy is rebalanced, enabling the whole body to be treated. A Reiki session can help ease tension, relieve stress and support the body to facilitate an environment for inner healing. A session is pleasant, relaxing, and often utilized for wellness.

What happens during a distance Reiki Session?
A distance healing is a technique whereby you do not have to be physically present to receive healing. The intention to heal is sent by the healer and received by the client in an instant transmission. This phenomenon is explained by Quantum physics, it is called the entanglement theory, when two particles of energy come into constant with each other they can then share information or mirror each other even if separated by space and time.
A typical Reiki session at Energetic Insights co is either 30 or 60 minutes. During your initial consultation, we will discuss the treatment process and review your expectations or intentions for the session. Let me know about any symptoms you want to address or if there are places in the body where you'd like me to focus.
For the most part, I limit my communication during the session, but you are encouraged to let me know if there's something you need to feel more comfortable with or to share what you're experiencing.
You may experience sensations in the body such as heat, chills, tingling and even goosebumps. My hands often heat up due to the energy flowing through my palms. The client frequently feels sleepy as the Reiki energy soothes and calms pent-up emotional tension and stress. Some people report seeing colours, pictures, hearing inner voices or having memories appear.
Reiki sensations can be very subtle and may even be overlooked, but with regular practice, most people notice slight energy shifts. Try to allow whatever arises to pass without attaching too much meaning to it. Your experiences may become more profound the more you continue with Reiki.
How to prepare for your Reiki Session?

Wear clean, loose-fitting, comfortable clothing. You may wish to wear natural fabrics such as cotton, linen, or silk. Please remove your shoes, jewelry, and glasses before your session, and keep your phone switched off or leave it behind.

What to do after your Session?
The best thing to do is to take it easy for the remainder of the day. If you have a session booked, avoid activity that requires a lot of energy, the body needs time to re-centre and re-hydrate. Reiki session triggers a detoxification process. Drinking water will help wash away the released build-up of toxins from your body. Experiencing thirst after healing is healthy. Your body lets you know it's working hard to flush out unwanted toxins. It is also recommended to obtain from drinking alcohol before and after Reiki sessions.
Rest
If your Reiki session has left you tired or sleepy, listen to your body. Take a nap! Get the rest your body requests and allow its healing abilities to take charge. The first few days after a Reiki session are crucial as your immune system strengthens and your body finds balance.
